What is doubleclick.net?
doubleclick.net is Google’s main advertising domain. It was a separate company until Google bought DoubleClick in 2008, and it now serves and measures ads across Google’s ad products.
AdvertisingOwned by Google (Alphabet), based in Mountain View.
What it does on a page
It sets and reads advertising cookies (such as IDE) to recognise your browser across sites, decide which ads to show, cap how often you see them and report whether an ad led to a visit or purchase.
Should you block it?
Blocking it rarely breaks a site. You’ll usually see empty ad slots instead of ads.
