Terms of use
The rules for using Browser Monster and this website, in plain English.
Last updated 20 October 2026
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and EcomDesign (United Kingdom), the maker of Browser Monster. Questions: hello@browsermonster.com.
Using the extension
The free version of Browser Monster is provided for your personal use. You may install it on any browser you own or are allowed to manage. Please don’t resell it, repackage it as your own, or use it to monitor other people without their knowledge.
What the results mean
Browser Monster reports what it observes in your browser. Some findings are estimates: server locations are approximate, and your “profile” is our on-device estimate of what advertisers may infer, not data supplied by those companies. A flag such as “tracked after you said no” is a signal worth looking into, not proof that a site broke the law. Don’t rely on the results as legal advice.
Fixes and deletions
Tools that clear cookies, change Chrome settings or block requests act on your browser when you confirm them. Clearing cookies can sign you out of sites or reset preferences, and can’t erase data companies already hold. Use them knowing that.
Paid features
Browser Monster Pro isn’t available yet. When it is, its price and any extra terms will be shown before you pay.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Browser Monster accurate and reliable, but it’s provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under UK law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring proceedings in your home courts.
